Gringos Locos

Gringos Locos was formed in Helsinki, Finland in 1986. Their recording deal with PolyGram International received much attention back then. Three albums down the road the band decided to take a short break in 1991. Well time is relative and the break ended up lasting almost 20 years, but hey! Who’s counting? The guys never gave up music though and groups like Leningrad Cowboys, Wishbone Ash, and Ben Granfelt Band are proud to have or have had members of Gringos Locos in their line-up.

In October of 2007 the guys decided the band and the world were ready for another Gringos Locos album. Due to busy schedules and commitments elsewhere it took till the summer of 2009 before the album was finished. The album Second Coming Of Age sounds a lot like the old familiar stuff, but the sounds are fuller, the lyrics more mature and the melodies more complex, with richer harmonies.

The band still Rocks make no mistake! The new album contains 10 originals and a cover of the Edgar Winter Group song Free Ride. Several of Finland’s top musicians and singers contributed on the album.
